We invite you to share your thoughts about Art for Recovery, and to submit personal artistic expressions based on living with cancer or caring for someone with cancer. Short narratives, poems, or graphic images of the type represented in our Word & Image gallery are welcome.

Text-Based Submissions
Send an e-mail message to cynthia.perlis@ucsfmedctr.org with your poem or narrative. If the layout is straightforward, you may include your submission in the body of a plain-text message. If there are layout or format criteria that cannot be rendered in plain text (indents, special line-spacing, or type characteristics such as size, style, etc.), please attach your submission in a standard word-processing file format (Microsoft Word or other).
Graphic Submissions
Include your image as a file attachment to an e-mail message sent to cynthia.perlis@ucsfmedctr.org. Your photograph or illustration should be sent in JPEG or TIFF format, ideally at a resolution of 300 dpi. If you have questions about specifications, please contact us. Title of your work.
If it is a graphic artwork, include its artistic medium and a short description of what inspired you to create it.
Date of composition.
How you wish to be identified -- initials or other. (We will not publish full names.)
Your age and cancer diagnosis.
We will attempt to share with other visitors, on this site, as many submissions as circumstances permit. Your submission will be understood to grant permission for posting your work on the Art for Recovery website.
