Confused about disability benefits issues and health coverage?
Specific questions about maximizing your health coverage choices or accessing disability income should be directed to the social worker assigned at your oncology practice. However, there are many resources available to you that will help you get the answers you are looking for. Below are two great sources of information.

    Information to help you understand some of the basics of public and private benefits and to assist you in avoiding common problems that arise.
  • Disability Benefits 101, explains the complex health coverage and benefits rules for people with disabilities who are working or planning to return to work.
    Features include easy-to-read descriptions of state, federal, and private benefit programs; articles featuring life situations; access to local, state, and national resources; and a bulletin board.
