Clinical evidence has shown that regular exercise speeds recovery for cancer survivors, promotes treatment effectiveness and can significantly deter recurrence rates. For prostate cancer survivors, exercise clinical trials have shown that exercise sinificantly reduces the risk of incontinence and also mitigates side effects for men on hormone therapy and men receiving radiation.
One-on-one, one hour long exercise consultations with Jane Clark and Regan Fedric, experienced and certified cancer exercise trainers, are available free to all UCSF cancer patients.

Appointments are scheduled for Thursdays (12:30 PM-4:00 PM) and Fridays (9:00 AM-12:30 PM). Counseling is conducted in Ida & Joseph Friend Cancer Resource Center, located at Mount Zion Medical Center, 1600 Divisadero Street, 1st floor, Room B101.
