Staff members and volunteers will research cancer-related topics for individuals and will assist visitors in finding information online and in print. The Resource Center houses a computer for patients and families to browse the web, Medline, and other health-related databases to obtain condition-specific information, treatment options, and more.
Staff members and volunteers also direct individuals to relevant community resources such as hats, wigs, prostheses, and hotel discounts. Brochures and bulletins, newsletters, and an event calendar provide visitors with access to current cancer-related events and programs. Materials can be provided in several languages.
