Re-Pairing: Having Deeper Conversations After Cancer

May 12, 2014, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm

Mount Zion
1600 Divisadero Street, 3rd floor

The cancer experience can put a strain on even the most solid partnerships.  This seminar will shed light on various communication styles and introduce specific ways to help couples and individuals "re-pair" and reconnect to an even deeper level of intimacy than before.  We will touch on recent understandings from attachment and emotional regulation theories, together what has been learned from advances in our understanding of the mind/body connection or psychobiology, with simple and powerful ways to safely connect to others.  No personal sharing will be required in this short meeting.  Both singles and partnered participants are welcome.

No charge. Registration required. Held at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, 1600 Divisadero Street, 3rd floor. Please register by calling the Cancer Resource Center at (415) 885-3693. Open to all, single or partnered.
