"Mechanisms of Tumor Suppression by the BRCA1-PALB2-BRCA2 Complex"

This seminar will address the roles of DNA damage, oxidative stress and autophagy in cancer development associated with mutations or loss of the BRCA and PALB2 tumor suppressors.

Bing Xia PhD is visiting the UCSF Breast Oncology Program from Rutgers Cancer Institute at New Jersey. Dr. Xia identified PALB2 when he was a postdoc in David Livingston’s lab at Harvard and has been working on the mechanisms of tumor suppression by the BRCA1/2-PALB2 complex.
