Living with NETS: Emotional Well-Being
with Dianne Shumay, PhD
Head of UCSF Psycho-Oncology

Dr. Dianne Shumay works with cancer center patients, survivors and their loved ones to help with a wide range of short term and long term needs, such as stress management and coping, behavioral and mind body approaches for symptoms such as pain, fatigue and insomnia. She also works with patients on goal setting for finding meaning, purpose and good quality of life, issues around grief and bereavement, navigating the healthcare system, strategies for decision making and communicating with provider teams.

The presentation will be from 12:00 – 1:00, followed by a patient and family discussion facilitated by Erin Schwartz, LCSW. A light lunch will be served.

Open to ALL patients with NETs or Carcinoid and their partners, caregivers, and family regardless of where you are receiving care. Due to the focus and intimacy of a support group, it is closed to others.

To help with our planning, please register to attend. Drop-ins are also welcome.
