Role of multidisciplinary tumor board in NET Patient Care
with Thomas Hope, MD & Nicholas Fidelman, MD
Multidisciplinary tumor boards (MTB) are meetings where specialists from surgery, medical oncology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, radiology, genetics, and pathology collaboratively review a patient's condition and determine the best treatment plan. During our first hour experts from UCSF will explore the role of an MTB in neuroendocrine tumor patient care with case studies and discussions.
The presentation will be from 12:00 – 1:00, followed by a patient and family discussion facilitated by Erin Schwartz, LCSW. A light lunch will be served.
Open to ALL patients with NETs or Carcinoid and their partners, caregivers, and family members, regardless of where you are receiving care. Due to the focus and intimacy of a support group, it is closed to others.
To help with our planning, please register to attend at bit.ly/sfzebra. Drop-ins are also welcome.
This meeting is a collaboration between UCSF and NorCal CarciNET.
