To encourage young investigators to enter the field of cancer research. Funding is for pilot projects that may provide preliminary data, which will allow the PI to receive national funding. |
To support clinical research and use of Cancer Center resources (Mt. Zion Health Fund gift money). This award is also aimed toward young investigators to help them get funding for research in the form of pilot projects. |
To support novel cancer research, which if successful will merit funding from other sources. However, high-risk projects are sought. Not for incremental improvements in chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation therapy. |
