Support Services
The Ida & Joseph Friend Cancer Resource Center supports wellness and the healing process by providing patients, families, and others with information and treatment options, emotional support, and community resources. In addition to access to information resources, the Cancer Resource Center hosts a variety of free support groups, exercise classes, and workshops.
Friend to Friend, operated by the Hospital Auxiliary of the UCSF/Mount Zion Medical Center, carries wigs, scarves, prostheses, and other items. Friend to Friend is located at 1600 Divisadero Street, 1st floor, 415.353.7776.
Art for Recovery is an award-winning program, in which individuals coping with life-threatening illness are given an opportunity to express their feelings and experiences through art workshops, visits at the bedside, and individual attention.
