Breast Oncology Team Prepares for Fundraising Walk

BOP members and supporters preparing the bras for the cause on May 8.

The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Program’s Breast Oncology Program (BOP) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Tri-Valley SOCKs (Stepping Out for Cancer Kures) 2013 Bras for the Cause Walk.

In anticipation of the Tri-Valley SOCKS fundraising effort May 11, 2013 in Pleasanton, the Breast Oncology Program team held a bra-decorating party at Mount Zion on May 8.

Last year the Breast Oncology Program received a $75,000 donation from the walk, which supported novel breast cancer research.

Members of the BOP will volunteer, walk and fundraise at the Tri Valley SOCKs annual Bras for the Cause walk. The SOCKs have contributed $160,000 to the BOP Development program in the last three years. As formal beneficiaries of the walk we'll be there to support their event that does so much to support our program. Please join us!
