Associate Professor in Residence, Department of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Medical Oncology), UCSF

Dr. W. Michael Korn is an expert in the management of gastrointestinal cancers. As part of the UCSF Gastrointestinal Oncology group he administers medical treatments, including chemotherapy. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. In addition to caring for patients, he is the lead investigator of clinical trials exploring new gastrointestinal cancer treatments. He is member of the NCCN Guideline Panel for Esophageal and Gastric Cancers.

His laboratory is focused on research to develop combination therapies for gastrointestinal and breast cancer. To identify new molecular targets, his team applies cutting edge systems-biological methods to create computational models of signal transduction pathways.
