Announcement—New Training Program

Éxito! Latino Cancer Research Leadership Training
A 3rd training program has been established at The Institute for Health Promotion Research (IHPR) at The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. The purpose of Éxito: Latino Cancer Research Leadership Training (LCRLT) is to increase diversity in Latino health disparities and cancer research by encouraging Latino/Hispanic master’s-level students and master’s trained health professionals to pursue a doctoral degree and a career in research. Éxito is funded by a 5-year (2010-2015) from the National Cancer Institute to the Institute for Health Promotion Research (IHPR). IHPR Director Dr. Amelie G. Ramirez is the program’s principal investigator and Dr. Rena Pasick, director of a MTPCCR in California, is the program’s co-principal investigator.
