Cancer Survivorship Program

Survivorship

The Cancer Survivorship Program is specifically designed for patients who have completed their initial therapy for cancer.

Following cancer treatment, patients find that they have different needs from those they had during active treatment. Many find themselves wondering:

  • Now what do I do?
  • Who will have time to answer my questions?
  • How do I make sure I continue the appropriate care?
  • Will there be ways to update me on the latest findings and how these discoveries apply to me?
  • How should I expect to feel?

The Cancer Survivorship Program has been designed to address these questions. It enables patients to focus on recovery by providing guidelines, clinical care and resources for improving general health and well-being.

The program offers monthly lectures for cancer patients and their families. Past lectures have included topics such as Coping with Uncertainty, Movement, Nifty Nutrition, Yoga and Sexuality After Cancer.
