Research Summary
My focus is to improve the care of critically ill patients through my roles as a practicing intensivist, co-director of the medical ICU, and teacher and mentor of resident and fellow clinical trainees. I also conduct basic science investigations of bacterial and viral pneumonia, focusing on mechanisms of injury and recovery.
