By HDFCCC Communications | March 13, 2019

Dr. Andrew Ko, Professor, Department of Medicine (Hematology/Oncology), UCSF, discusses pancreas cancer diagnosis and treatment with ABC7 News in San Francisco.

Following the self-disclosure of Jeopardy's Alex Trebek that he is battling pancreas cancer, ABC7 News sat down with UCSF's Dr. Andrew Ko at our Mission Bay campus to discuss common questions about the disease. During the 30-minute Facebook Live broadcast, Dr. Ko discussed common side effects of treatment, and certain risk factors specific to pancreas cancer.

ABC7's Kate Larsen asked Dr. Ko a myriad of important questions, many of which were prompted by public interest in Trebek's  announcement, and even included real-time questions from the live Facebook audience. The video was viewed more than thirteen thousand times in the week following the broadcast.
