The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center’s shared resources represent state-of-the-art support services and technology that provide critical support to groups of investigators.

Biorepository and Tissue Biomarker Technology Core

Biorepository and Tissue Biomarker Technology

The Biorepository facility provides for optimal acquisition of human tissue biospecimens with annotation of handling/processing, QA/QC protocols, and custodial storage/distribution. The Tissue Biomarker Technology facility provides processing and state-of-the-art tissue biomarker histologic detection and/or image analyses for both human and mouse tissue biospecimens.
Biostatistics Core

Biostatistics

Provides biostatistical support to the UCSF cancer research community.
Clinical Research Support Office

Clinical Research Support Office

Assists with protocol development, data management, regulatory compliance, contract development, and patient registration.
Computational Biology Core

Computational Biology and Informatics

Provides computational biology support to the UCSF cancer research community.
Genome Analysis Core

Genome Analysis

Provides quantitative PCR (QPCR), single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis, epigenetic analysis, and technical support and education.
LCA Core

Laboratory for Cell Analysis

Provides cytometric support, including flow and image cytometry, new cytometric methods and applications, and technical support and education.
Preclinical Therapeutics Core

Preclinical Therapeutics

Offers a complete set of preclinical services and in vivo imaging devices for cancer investigators.
Tobacco Biomarkers Core

Tobacco Biomarkers

Serves as an analytical chemistry resource for the UCSF tobacco control and cancer research community.
