The induction ceremony will occur at STTI’s 26th International Nursing Research Congress, July 23-27 in Puerto Rico. Representing Australia, Belgium, Canada and the United States, honorees will be presented with the International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame award and participate in a conversation with STTI President Hester C. Klopper, PhD, MBA, RN.

An internationally recognized expert on pain and symptom management, Miaskowski has more than 300 peer-reviewed publications and received millions of dollars in funding from the National Institutes of Health.

“This research award, from nursing’s premier international honor society, is not given to me,” said Miaskowski, an American Cancer Society clinical research professor. “It is given to all of my faculty colleagues and superb staff who have been a part of my research teams, all of my students, and most important – to all of the patients who have participated in our research studies.”
