Affiliated Hospitals and Clinics

UCSF Health has affiliated with a number of Bay Area providers and health systems, with the goal to improve access clinical research trials and express referrals to cancer specialists throughout Northern California.  A partial list of recent affiliations is included below and an overview of services and facilities of UCSF Health can be viewed here


UCSF-John Muir Health Cancer Center  (2020)

UCSF Health and John Muir Health have reached the first significant milestone in developing a cancer network to enhance access to cancer care for patients throughout the East Bay The Cancer Center is located in the jointly operated Berkeley Outpatient Center. With the addition of cancer care, there are now 19 specialty care services available at the Berkeley Outpatient Center, as well as primary care, urgent care, lab and imaging services. 


UCSF Cancer Center San Mateo  (2020)

The new UCSF Cancer Center San Mateo, joins oncologists from California Cancer Care, the largest independent oncology group in San Mateo County, with UCSF faculty to enable UCSF Health to bring specialty cancer care closer to home for patients through offices in both San Mateo and Redwood City.


MarinHealth (2018)

Through our partnership with MarinHealth, patients in Marin County and the North Bay can get care from UCSF specialists in the hospital and enjoy the convenience of seeing other specialists in our clinics close to home.


Golden Gate Urgent Care (July 2017)

UCSF Health has signed an affiliation with Golden Gate Urgent Care (GGUC) to collaborate in providing top-quality urgent care in the GGUC’s six Bay Area locations.


Washington Hospital (Dec 2016)

Washington Hospital has established a new affiliation with UCSF Health to provide oncology patients with access to the latest cancer research, technology and treatment in a comforting and convenient environment.


John Muir Health (Oct 2016)

The growing collaboration will leverage the strengths of UCSF Health, Northern California’s leading academic medical center with John Muir Health’s leading community hospitals to provide a superior patient experience and quality oncology care closer to patients’ homes.


UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Oakland Affiliation (January 2014)

In 2014, UCSF and Children’s Hospital Oakland made the ambitious commitment to align institutions based on a shared mission of serving the health care needs of all children, regardless of race, religion or financial status. Since then, the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals have grown into a comprehensive pediatric health system that leverages Oakland’s high-quality care delivery and research with UCSF’s renowned specialty care, biomedical research and health sciences education. The UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals enterprise is now greater than the sum of its parts.

The two campuses in San Francisco and Oakland are known worldwide for basic and clinical research, including programs such as sickle cell research that serve our most vulnerable children, and are at the forefront of translating research into interventions for treating and preventing pediatric disease.


Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center, Adventist Health St. Helena (Jan 2010)

The Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center at St. Helena Hospital and the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCSF Medical Center have an affiliation to provide North Bay patients with access to clinical research trials and express referrals to cancer specialists through a convenient Napa Valley location.
