
This kefir avocado herb dressing is loaded with pre and probiotics to support gut health. It has a tangy and refreshing flavor that works well as a dressing for bowls and salads or as a dip for raw veggies or whole grain crackers.
Ingredients
- ½ - 1 cup organic plain kefir
- 1 small ripe avocado
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 green onion, white and light green parts only
- 1 large handful of parsley leaves
- 1 large handful of cilantro leaves
- 1 medium garlic clove
- Pinch of kosher salt
Directions
- Add all ingredients into the pitcher of a high-powered blender. Blend on high until smooth.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dish, or store in an air-tight container in your refrigerator for up to three days.
Note: Using ½ cup of kefir produces a thicker sauce, more suitable for dipping. If you'd like to serve this sauce as a salad dressing, we recommend adding an additional ¼ to ½ cup of kefir!
