UCSF at ASCO 2026
Each year UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center members, physicians, faculty members, and advocates participate in the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
HDFCCC Deputy Director and Chief Scientific Officer Eric J. Small, MD, FASCO will conclude his term as ASCO president for 2025-2026. The program will feature over 200 sessions complementing Dr. Small’s Presidential theme, The Science and Practice of Translation: Improving Cancer Outcomes Worldwide.

Conquer Cancer Awardess
Conquer Cancer – Amy Lin, MD, Young Investigator Award Given
Matthew J. Emmett, MD, PhD, Massachusetts General Hospital, was named the first recipient of the new Conquer Cancer – Amy Lin, MD, Young Investigator Award.
Dr. Amy Lin served UCSF for more than two decades with uncommon dedication, beginning her career as a genitourinary medical oncologist before becoming a core physician for our inpatient solid tumor oncology service. In recent years, she shaped the future of cancer care at UCSF as the Medical Director of Clinical Informatics and Data Analytics for Adult Cancer Services, and as the Clinical Operations Chief for our inpatient oncology program.
