Research Summary
Dr. Morshed is a neurosurgeon and Assistant Professor within the UCSF Department of Neurological Surgery. He has been caring for brain and skull base tumor patients as an independent practitioner since 2024. His clinical and translational research efforts have focused in the field of neurosurgical oncology on pathologies including skull base tumors, brain metastases, and gliomas. He has led and contributed to papers examining intraoperative stimulation mapping for intra-axial tumors as well as assessing the impact of the extent of resection on high and low-grade glioma patient outcomes. His current research focuses include examining how meningioma and brain metastasis molecular features correlate with clinical outcomes.
