Bone-Building Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups kale leaves, stalks removed
  • 1 cup unsweetened, calcium fortified, vanilla almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen fruit high in vitamin C (kiwi, citrus, cherries, strawberries, etc…)
  • 1 T chia seeds
  • ¼ avocado

Directions

  1. Combine kale and almond milk in a blender and process until smooth
  2. Add frozen fruit, avocado and chia seeds. Continue to blend until smooth
  3. Add additional almond milk if a thinner consistency is desired
  4. Serve immediately

One serving. Provides 545 mg calcium per serving.
