WE ADVOCATE for POLICIES TO ADDRESS STRUCTURAL RACISM & THE SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF CANCER OUTCOMES

To address structural racism and the social determinants of cancer, we advocate for policies that support our diverse communities accessing care at HDFCCC. We also leverage research from our center to help community partners drive policy change that directly impacts cancer outcomes and public health

WE SUSTAIN COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Our community engagement efforts are year-round and non-transactional. We stay actively engaged with community-,  faith-based, and other strategic partners, including municipal stakeholders, local elected officials, public health departments and local health systems to achieve our goals.

  • Cancer Center Program Liaisons –photos of 7 liaisons; listing of presentations (CAB2 can link back to it); Will eventually include productivity—papers; grants with live links so folks can read summaries
  • CAB consultations for investigators
    • CAB members may be interested in helping you. (need a request a consultation)
  • Technical support for CBPR/CEnR projects
    •   Community and Investigator capacity building
    •   Support for project specific community advisories
    •   Link to CTSI training for investigators

WE DISSEMINATE CANCER INFORMATION
