Research Summary
I am an advanced heart failure and heart transplant cardiologist who has expertise in the management of patients with heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, heart transplant, and mechanical circulatory support devices. I am co-Director of the UCSF Comprehensive Amyloidosis Program, and the clinical cardiology lead for the UCSF HHT Center of Excellence. In addition to my expertise in heart failure and cardiomyopathies, I developed a specific focus in cardio-oncology (management of cardiovascular issues in cancer patients).
My research interests focus on cardiac amyloidosis and in understanding risk predictors and outcomes of cancer patients with heart disease.
